Obituary
On Sunday, April 3, 2022, Ann Lindsey Bowman, loving wife and proud puppy mom, passed away at the age of 87. Ann was born on March 11, 1935 in Skirum, Alabama to the late Addis and Bernice Lindsey. She moved to Atlanta in 1962, and began her career with Southern Airways. On April 2, 1983, she married Ronald O. Bowman and shared 39 wonderful years of marriage.
Ann had a passion for animals, and upon her retirement, she became a puppy raiser for the Leader Dogs for the Blind. After ten years of training service dogs, she had to stop due to breast cancer. However, cancer did not stop her. She lived her life with passion, courage and dignity. She loved her family, fur babies and friends. She told jokes, had original sayings, and made the best fried okra. Every day was special to her.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents; and nine Lindsey sisters and brothers. She is survived by her husband, Ron; sister, Shelby; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, and great-great nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, April 11, 2022 at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church, 101 N. Peachtree Pkwy, Peachtree City, Georgia.
