Charles Henry Northway
May 18, 1933 – April 24, 2024


Charles Henry Northway, 90, husband of Alma Lilly Farfan Northway, of Richardson, died April 24, 2024 at The Monarchs of Richardson Texas Assisted Living and Memory Care Center.

Born in Middleborough, Massachusetts on May 18, 1933, he was a son of the late Ralph Lewis Northway and the late Ruthann Tripp Northway.

Charles served in the U.S. Army in South and Central America doing geo-surveying and aircraft maintenance. He started a career as an Aircraft Mechanic and Inspector at Southern Airways that continued through various mergers where he ultimately retired at Delta Airlines in 1995 after 28 years. He performed several volunteer leaderships positions in the Bonanza Lions Club and Boy Scouts (troop 902), assistant football coach on a local youth team. After retirement, he enjoyed building his own Cessna 150 and flying it cross-country.

He is survived by his wife Alma, his children, Edward Northway (w. Cindy), David Northway (h. Loras), grandchildren Holly Sanderson (h. Ray), Dustin Northway (w. Rachel), Giancarlo Mossi (h. Adrian), great-grandchildren Chandler Sanderson (w. Carly), Colby Sanderson (fiancé Peyton), Gracen Sanderson, Brantley Northway, and great-grandchild Hadley Sanderson.

He is also survived by his siblings, Cynthia Ladd, Laura Gilstrap, and Linda Heaton (h. Jimmy), and a brother-in-law, Paul Zbin.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Zbin and brothers Jimmy and Harold Northway.

A visitation for Charles will be held Monday, April 29, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Ted Dickey West Funeral Home, 7990 President George Bush, Dallas, TX 75252. A funeral mass will occur Tuesday, April 30, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Sacred Heart Chapel, 3900 Rowlett Rd, Rowlett, TX 75088. A graveside will occur Tuesday, April 30, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 3900 Rowlett Rd, Rowlett, TX 75088.
