Donnie Thompson, husband of Rachel Thompson, passed away peacefully this afternoon. At this time plans are for the service to be at First Baptist Church of Forest Park at 11:00 Wednesday. He will be at Thomas Scrogg's Funeral Directors, 6362 S. Lee Street, Morrow, GA 30260. Visitation will be all day Tuesday and Tuesday evening. This could change.  Please check with the Funeral Directors.

​Donald H. Thompson, of Morrow, Ga, died October 14, 2007, at the age of 75, following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Forest Park. Dr. Reed Crumbliss officiating. Interment, Sherwood. Born in St. Joseph, KY to James Richard and Elizabeth Howell Thompson, he was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He retired after 30 years of service with the Georgia National Guard. Following his retirement, he was a building inspector for Clayton County. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Forest Park. He is survived by his wife, Rachel Lee Thompson; mother, Elizabeth Howell Thompson, Newnan; sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Debbie Thompson, Conyers, Greg and Stacy Thompson, Brooks, Tom and Glenda Thompson, Barnesville, Zack and Vicki Thompson, Morrow; grandchildren, Katie, David, Alyson, Dustin, Brian, Justin, Diana, Tiffani, Joseph, Suzanna, and Patrick Thompson; sister and brother-in-law, Glenna and James Moss, Fayetteville; brother, Weyman E. Thompson, Newnan; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dell and Jerry Thompson, Wedowee, AL, Richard and Zandra Thompson, Newnan; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John and Dot Lee, Morrow, Johnny and Molly Guice, Mobile, AL, Powell and Shirley Lee, Fayetteville, Clara Lee, Senatobia, MS, Vivian Lee, Sunnyside, Clovis Lee, Fayetteville; cousins and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, make contributions to First Baptist Church of Forest Park. Family will receive friends Tuesday, 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Thomas L. Scroggs Funeral Directors, Morrow, GA (770)961-2828.
