Obituary​

Fred Allen Corley, 77, of Peachtree City, GA , passed away peacefully at home with his beloved wife, Brenda, by his side

on May 16, 2024.

He was born in Dallas, GA on January 15, 1947 to SJ and Nell Corley. Fred graduated from Forest Park High School in 1965 and married his high school sweetheart, Brenda Huffman in 1966. He joined the United States Air Force and served his country for four years. Following his service, he spent the next 34 years “playing and pranking” fellow co-workers before retiring from Delta Air Lines. During retirement, he stayed busy playing on numerous softball teams, playing golf, and he loved fishing in tournaments with his buddies. One of Fred’s greatest joys was being known as “Coach” to many including his children and grandchildren. Fred loved serving in his local church. He always greeted people with a joyful smile. His generosity and zest for life inspired everyone he knew.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents, SJ and Nell Corley, brother Wendell and twin sisters Retha and Reba and is survived by his beloved wife, Brenda, son Philip and his wife Jeannine, daughter Andrea and her husband Ben Schwarting, grandchildren Madeline, Reagan, Owen Corley and Luke, Libby, Logan Schwarting.

Visitation with family and friends will be on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at 1:00 with the Celebration of Life immediately following at 2:00 in the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville with burial to follow at Westminster Memorial Gardens in Peachtree City. Pastors Adam Vinson and Josh Rhye will be officiating the services.
