Helen LaVerne Ray, formerly of Hapeville, passed away October 23, 2008 following a struggled recovery from open heart surgery. She was 75 years young and a resident of Fayetteville , Georgia . Mrs. Ray was preceded in death by her daughter Vicki L. Bahr and her husband Howell A. Ray, Jr.; sisters Vera Daprano, Jane Langford, and Norma Jean Brady; brothers Virgil Williams, Hershal Williams and Rudolph Williams. She is survived by her sister Barbara Florence; her daughter Judy and Michael Williams; granddaughters Stephanie and Malory Williams; and grandson Jason and Jessica Bahr. Maw Maw was a new great-great grandmother to Cashen, Shayla, and Mackenzie Ray. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother known for her ability to take care of and comfort others. Funeral Services will be held October 25, 2008 at 11:00 AM at C. J. Mowell & Son Chapel, Fayetteville with Reverend Doug Burrell officiating. Interment will follow at Camp Memorial Park .
