James Floyd Morris, Sr.
September 5, 1940 - May 25, 2012

James Floyd Morris, Sr., 71 of Florence, died Friday, May 25, 2012. Visitation will be Monday, May 28, 2012 from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights/Florence with the funeral following in the funeral home chapel. Joel Caudle and Norman Hargett will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Central Community Cemetery. Mr. Morris was a native of Lauderdale County. He was a customer service agent for Northwest Airlines and an active member and deacon at Glendale Church of Christ. He loved his family, serving others and playing golf. Survivors include his wife, Betty W. Morris; son, Jim Morris and wife, Flora Ann Morris of Gulf Shores; daughter, Melanie Pruitt and husband, Jeff Pruitt of Florence; brothers, Bill Morris of Florence and Robert Morris of Muscle Shoals; sisters, Martha Wylie and Sandra Kelsey of Florence and grandchildren, Katie and Jason Pruitt, and Cory and Devin Prince. Pallbearers are Micah Allen, Seth Allen, Mark Allen, Hunter Allen, John Morris and Devin Prince.  Honorary pallbearers are Morris Allen, Glendon Jackson, Ken Neal, Richard Wylie and Ricky Dickerson.
