Obituary​

Jerrell Edwin Davis Sr., 77, of Panama City, Florida, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2018. Jerrell was born October 4, 1940 in Bascom, Florida, and graduated from Greenwood High School in
1957.

Jerrell was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Neal Davis and his mother, Mellie Lenora Ray Davis; also by siblings, Kenneth Ray Davis and Imogene Davis Jones.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Marie Peacock Davis; his son, Jerry Davis Jr.; daughter-in-heart Amanda McCrary Davis; two grandchildren, Harrison Brooks Davis and Grace Marie Davis; brothers, Andrew Lamar Davis; William Harold Davis (Virginia); Max Neal Davis (Doris); Norman W. Davis; Duane F. Davis (Helen); Mother-in-law, Pera Lee Peacock; beloved brothers and sisters-in-law; cherished nephews, nieces, and cousins; and a lifetime of friends including his best friend, Clayton Minnhinnette.

Jerrell's pleasures in life included spirited conversations with family and friends; freshwater fishing; golfing; and travel & music.

He was a member of Hiland Park Baptist Church and loved his CoEd8 Sunday School Class.

He enjoyed a lifetime of work in the airline industry, employed by Southern Airways/ Republic Airlines/ Northwest Airlines as the airlines merged and changed. Jerrell retired in 1995 to enjoy a blessed retirement.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 2, at Hiland Park Baptist Church in Panama City, Florida. The family will receive friends one hour prior. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, March 2, at Lovedale Baptist Church, Bascom, Florida. Interment will follow at Lovedale Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral.
