Jerry Donald McEver Sr.
November 8, 1934 - December 20, 2015

Mr. Jerry Donald McEver Sr., age 81, of Young Harris, GA passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2015 following a brief illness. Jerry was born on November 08, 1934 to the late James and Edith (Pollard) McEver in Acworth, GA. He attended and finished school at the Berry Academy School for Boys. He was employed by Southern Airways which became Republic which became Northwest airways. He then retired from Delta. Jerry loved music and was a member of Atlanta Peachtree Chorus, Marietta Big Chicken Chorus, and High Country Harmonizers. He was a member of Riverdale Masonic Lodge #107 and Airport Toastmasters. Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Elaine Clark McEver; son, Jerry Donald McEver Jr.; granddaughters, Ansley McEver Carney and Jerrica Lynn McEver; great grandchild Avery Noelle Graham; nieces and nephews Michael Radford, Sandy Richards, Greg Clark and Susan Gaskin. A memorial service will be held on January 03, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Hiawassee United Methodist Church with Rev. Sam Hamby officiating. The family will have a reception following the service.
