Marvin C. Rouse 77 of Acworth departed this life Saturday, July 17, 2021. Marvin was born in Vienna, Georgia to his parents, Marvin and Mattie Rouse. Mr. Rouse retired from Northwest airlines. He enjoyed the great outdoors – hunting and fishing. He cherished spending time with family and friends.
Marvin was a faithful servant of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church where he loved worshiping, teaching the Bible, and being a part of the Men’s Brotherhood. He and his wife led a small group Bible study in their home for more than 20 years, and he enjoyed being a part of church building projects with Macedonian Missionary Service all over the USA. His love for the Lord was shown with his support for missionaries.
Mr. Rouse is preceded in death by his parents and brother Jimmy Rouse. Survivors include his wife of 32 years Donna Rouse, children and their spouse’s; Marty Rouse (Rhonda), Michelle Fox (Tom), Melissa Felts (Nick), Wesley Rouse, and Stephanie Loyd; sister, Jacquelyn Sangiuolo, brothers, Mike Rouse (Susan) and David Rouse (Jean), sister-in-law Winnie Rouse; grandchildren, Jake Rouse, Josh Rouse, Drew Taggart, Brian Taggart, Jonie Cummings, Julianna Cummings, Greyson Cummings, Lilly Rouse, Jackson Fox, Mackey Fox, Peyton Fox and Stella Fox, and great-grandchildren, Magnolia Rouse and Archer Taggart.
Services to celebrate Marvin’s life will be Wednesday July 21, 2021 at 11 AM at Hillcrest Baptist Church, and the visitation will be Tuesday, July 20, 2021 from 6 PM until 8 PM at Hillcrest Baptist Church located at 6069 Woodstock Road, Acworth, GA 30102. Internment will take place Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 9:30 AM in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Mayday, Georgia located at 153 Macedonia Church Road Lake Park, Georgia 31636.
