Patricia Anne Norris
January 2, 1949 - May 20, 2013

Patricia, 64, was called home to be with the Lord on May 20, 2013 after a 4½ year valiant battle with ovarian cancer. Patricia was born on January 2, 1949 in Memphis, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Charles Barnes. She attended White-haven elementary through senior high, graduating in 1967. She studied art at Memphis State University for two years followed by a 25 year career as a flight attendant for Southern/Republic/Northwest Airlines. As an accomplished professional artist specializing in wildlife art, Patricia was inducted as one of only 500 lifetime members of the prestigious Pastel Society of America. She was featured in the national publication “Artist” magazine and served as past president of the Memphis/Germantown Art League. In later years, Patricia spent a majority of her time involved with her Sunday school and church. She was a very active member of Central Church in Collierville. She is survived by her husband, David Norris; two stepchildren, Colby Norris and Rebecca Hall, and three sisters, Betty Jo Baca, Virginia Leigh Cutshall, and Denise Lynn Calkin. Also surviving are seven nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends, Wednesday, June 5 from 6-8 p.m. at Collierville Funeral Home.
