Obituary​

Robert "Bob" Thomas King passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at his home in Albany, Louisiana, at the age of 80. He was born on Sunday, July 14, 1940 in Griffin, Georgia to Bartow T. and Mary Patterson King.

Bob is survived by his only son, Robert Ryan King (Maurine Joy); grandchildren, Blythe and Gabriel King, and Chelsea Sticker Bourgeois (Blaise); great-grandchildren, Blaise and Brynn Bourgeois and Dakota Sticker; an only brother, Jim King (Barbara) of Griffin, Georgia, numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Meyer King; and his parents, Bartow and Mary Patterson King.

Bob enjoyed a quiet, simple life. He especially loved reading, the outdoors, and spending time with his family. He was described by many as being gentle and kind and touched the lives of all who knew him. He was a retired aircraft maintenance technician, working 38 years. He served 4 years in the United States Air Force, stationed in Korea.

The family would like to send a special thank you to New Century Hospice and Magnolia Senior Care for the compassion and care they provided to Bob.
