Solon Tomlinson
May 10, 1936 - June 21, 2013

Solon Tomlinson, 77, died Friday, June 21, 2013.  He was born on May 10, 1936 in Holly Springs, MS.  Mr. Tomlinson was retired from Northwest Airlines after 37 years and served in the Army.  An avid outdoorsman, he would go fishing whether he caught anythhing or not.  He also loved UT football.  He was preceded in death by his daughter, Laurie Ann Tomlinson Hensley,' his parents, Solon Hugh and Maudie Brown Tomlinson' and sister, Jane Reid.  He is survived by his wife of 37 years years, Evelyn Mullins Tomlinson; son, James Allen, both of Memphis; daughter , Leah Moore (Greg) of Middleton, TN; grandchildren, Taran Hensley of Claremont, CA, Joe and Graham Allen of Memphis and Josey, Sam and Rebekah Moore of Middleton, TN.  He also leaves his sister Bonnie Dover (Richard) of Rosemark, TN and numerous nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held at Holly Springs Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 25 at 11:a.m.  Visitation will start at 10 am Tuesday prior to the service.  Pastor Steven Curtis will officiate.
