Steven Lee Powers
January 26, 1943 - December 18, 2025

Steven Lee Powers, born on January 26, 1943, in Harrisburg, Virginia, passed away on December 18, 2025, in Fayetteville, Georgia, at the age of 82.

Steve dedicated much of his life to serving his country and community. He was a proud member of the United States Air Force, where he served with honor and distinction. Following his service, he built a long and respected career as a mechanic with Northwest and Delta Airlines, contributing his skills and dedication to the aviation industry.

Steve was an avid and talented golfer and made an impression as a wonderful guy and made friends wherever he played. Because of his fun personality as well as his 20 holes in one, he was always in high demand to be your partner. He was a true gentleman and was considered the nicest guy you would ever want to meet.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William Albert Powers and Hilda Lee Powers. His legacy and memory will be cherished by those who survive him, including his son-in-law, Jerel Verner, daughter-in-law, Deborah Verner, brother-in-law, Vernon Scott, and nephew, Eugene Scott II.

Steve’s steadfast commitment to his work and family, along with the values he upheld throughout his life, will be remembered by all who knew him. His calming demeanor, fun personality and genuine smile will be missed by us all.
