Sue Silver
July 14, 1946 - February 6, 2026

Sue Silver, 79, passed away Monday, February 2 surrounded by family at her home in Fort Collins, Colorado. She was born July 14, 1946, in Statesboro, Georgia to the late Eulie and Mildred Chester. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Gary Silver and her siblings Gene, Don, and Patricia Chester.

Sue grew up in Statesboro and moved to Atlanta following her graduation from Portal High School. There, she met her husband, Gary while working at Southern Airways. Together, Sue and Gary raised two children, Russel and Rick Silver; were devoted members of their church; and active in the special needs community.

Sue is remembered for her kindness and gentle spirit and was loved by all who knew her. She cherished time with her grandchildren and loved her family more than anything.

A service will be held at All Saints Lutheran Church, 722 Rockbridge Rd., Lilburn, Georgia at 11am Saturday, February 21, 2026. A reception will follow immediately after. Memorial contributions can be made to American Humane Society or SAINT. The family would like to thank the hospice team, friends, and extended family who helped to make Sue's final days comfortable.
