Obituary

Mrs. Vickie Ray Bahr, age 53, passed peacefully from this life on September 15, 2007 surrounded by her loving family and friends following a four year struggle with renal failure. Born June 12, 1954, Vickie graduated in 1972 from Hapeville High School. She was employed by Eastern Airlines and later Northwest Airlines as a Lead Payroll Clerk. She resided in Fayetteville, GA for the past 5 years. Vickie had a gift for making those around her feel special and will always be remembered as a loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She now joins her heavenly friends and family members who await her coming with open arms. Mrs. Bahr is survived by her son, Jason and Jessica Bahr of Atlanta and his father, Tom Bahr; grandson, Cashen Tyler Bahr of Atlanta; parents, Howell and Helen Ray of Fayetteville; sister, Judy and Michael Williams of Fayetteville; step-daughters, Amy Slone and Kristy Trout; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday September 18 at 11 AM at the North Fayette United Methodist Church with remains placed in state at 10 AM. Reverend Doug Burrell will officiate. Interment will follow at Camp Memorial Park. The family will receive friends between the hours of 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 PM Monday at the funeral home.
