Obituary​

William passed away on December 6, 2011, from heart failure leaving behind his beloved family and friends. He was an airline captain for Southern Airways, Republic Airlines and with Northwest Airlines. He flew DC-3s, Martin 404, DC-9s, Boeing 727s, and Airbus A320 in a career spanning three decades. Toby is survived by his wife, Sharon, of 48 years; his daughter, Laura, her husband, Jeff, and his grandson, Stephen. He was preceded in death by his son, Jeff. He has requested to have his ashes spread in the Gulf of Mexico sometime this spring or summer. Toby was a charter member of the Fort Walton Beach Sailfish Club, having resided in the Destin area for over 39 years. His best days were spent fishing on the Gulf of Mexico and on the golf course, as well as enjoying the company of his family and friends. Toby always said "let there be peace!" as he waved goodbye or said goodnight. It is with great sadness that we must now say "Toby, rest in peace.
