On Monday, July 15, 2013 William Wilkin Barker, Jr. age 76. beloved son of the late William Wilkin Barker, Sr. and Catherine Chisolm Barker.  Brother of Rosemary Campise Mauras (Melvin) and Rita Carmpise Golemi (Joe).  A native of New Orleans, LA and a longtime resident of Alexander City, AL. Bill is suvived by sons William W. Barker III (Maritza) and Patrick Timothy Baker, daughters Dana Ann Barker and Carol Barker Logreco (Joey), and stepson Yann Audbert  Bill is the loving grandfather of Ali Logreco, William W. Barker IV and Katelyn Elizabeth Barker.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Bill was a Major in the U.S.Army where he was a pilot.  He was also a Major in the Louisiana Air National Guard where he trained helicopter pilots for combat duty in Vietnam.  In civilian life, Bill was a commercial a8irline pilot until  his retirement from Southern Airways.  Bill was also a dedicated and devoted substance abuse counselor who dramatically impacted the lives of the many people he counseled, as well as their families. Family and friends are invited (to) the Funeral Mass on Friday, July26 at 11:00am and continues until Mass time.  Inerment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
